He who angers you conquers you.

I have this crazy rule. I try not to go to sleep mad at people. It’s sounds so simple right? Well it’s not that easy.

My people– “energy workers”– believe that sleep is where the “download” happens. My teacher, would spend an hour or more programming me during our sessions, but made it very clear that work we had done that day would anchor in my sleep. Sleep is when the conscious mind cannot block our progress with old limiting beliefs.  Emotional processing occurs during sleep.  During the day, thought processes are not completed because of interruptions, other distractions and our subconscious blocks. You may notice that problems that seemed difficult are solvable or even solved after a good night’s rest.  This could be due to increased energy, but is also the actual problem-solving that goes on during sleep. Did you know that many types of emotional development and processing of one’s past take place during sleep?  Not giving yourself enough ‘down time’ is harming you on an emotional level as well as a physical one.

Sleep is where the mind is free to run wild and where our downloads becomes part of our being. Have you ever woken up from a bad dream and had a terrible day? Has a dream ever cast a shadow that you couldn’t shake?

Now– I’m asking you to take this a step further. Can you be open the idea that when we are mad at someone we are projecting onto them a shortcoming of ourselves? This nerve a person strikes in you has nothing to do with them- and everything to do with how you’re programmed.

It has not been easy, but when I get mad at someone I have trained myself to stop and say “What is this person showing me? Why are they creating this passion/anger/rage? What’s here for me to heal?”

I’m not suggesting you don’t feel the feelings, because feelings ARE the human experience. I’m saying that when you’re done feeling, look the pain in the face- and take your power back.

Self awareness is not an easy path. It hurts. It’s exhausting– and like I told a friend recently–sometimes I wonder if it’s even worth it. I spend a great deal of my time becoming more evolved, but I’m “stuck” in a world of old patterns and shadows. This week I want to pack up and move away. Am I running? Or do I need a new backdrop to create my new existence? Asking these questions is productive. Even if the idea is not right, it started with a FEELING and those need to be acknowledged.Don’t judge your feelings. Honor them, evaluate them, and then let go of the emotion. Hold on to the wisdom.

So, back to my original thought. Don’t go to bed mad at someone. If you do that you’re giving away your personal power. It never has and never will be about them. It’s you. If you spot it, you’ve got it.

“When I stop struggling, I float. It’s the law.”

Have you felt like the only thing constant these days is change? Has your life been filled with curveballs and unexpected events? Do you feel as if the rug has been pulled out from under you? Attempts at self-reform have been challenged- and it seems as though nothing comes easily. You may not be aware of it but you have been confronted by your own shadow nature for the past few years, as well as the shadow of society. Rash moves and thoughtless actions have been met with harsh consequences. This is not the time to live an un-examined life, so today I am offering you a chance to examine it.

I get extremely frustrated when I hear astrologers and fans of astrology say  “today is a terrible day in the  astros”.

Yes- there have been many challenges presented- and that’s okay- especially if you know what to look for. It’s part of the human experience. I write about being a human frequently- because seriously- that’s why we are here. It’s not supposed to be flowers and puppies. We feel pain because we are supposed to. We grow because we are supposed to. Mercury was retrograde October 4–25, 2014 and I speak of this well known phenomenon frequently in this blog. We just finished this cycle and I am sure you felt it. A little reflection of what happened during that time can take you a long way on your personal path.

So, why am I writing this blog today?

Currently there is an astrological configuration occurring that is literally knocking our socks off.  Today’s Full moon in Taurus- after a very interesting election cycle- has led me to give you a pep talk. So, I have asked my favorite Astrologer Mystic Medusa to let me share some of her members only content with you, and with her help, I am going to try to cram in as much astro-data as possible. It is my intention to make you feel as snugly and comfy as possible during what is going to be an intense couple of months. The good news? It’s almost over but it’s ON from now until April. As she says “Stay stuck get Fuq’ed” and we don’t want that now do we……

So let’s begin:

What Is The Zap Zone (a term coined by my girl Mystic)?  It is what she calls the Uranus square Pluto aspect that has been happening since 2012.  These two planets don’t “hang-out” frequently but when they do– it’s evident. She says “In the mid 1960s, they formed a conjunction, bringing forward many new societal and geopolitical paradigms. Now they are squaring one another, testing that structure as well as any system that is not inherently valid or functional. Yes, it is drastic astro.”

From 2012-15, there will be/have been seven “exact” squares, when the two celestial bodies are at the same degree. During these periods, we’ll feel/felt the tension strongest:

June 6-July 9, 2012

September 18-October 1, 2012

May 15-Jun 1, 2013

Apex Point October 17-November 15, 2013

April 12-29, 2014

November 26-December 27, 2014

March 11-28, 2015

What does that mean? Let’s meet the key players.

Positive manifestation: associated with renewal and rebirth. It represents endings and new beginnings, as well as spiritual growth and rebirth.

Negative manifestation: an obsessive desire for power and control and general destructiveness.

I call Saturn the task master. The planet is associated with restriction and limitation. Saturn constricts and brings structure.  Saturn reminds us of our boundaries, responsibilities, and commitments. It brings definition to our lives. Saturn constantly reminds us of our limits.

Positive manifestation: associated with enlightenment, progressiveness, objectivity, novelty, and ingenuity.

Negative manifestation: is rebelliousness without a cause and irresponsibility.

I am sure you’re asking yourself- what the heck does this mean for me? Let me show you. Spend a moment and answer these questions:

1) Is there a part of your life where you feel like everything is falling apart? Examples- home life, how you see your self, work, ect. What in your life feel like it’s being demolished?

2) Is there anything that you’re starting to see differently than you had previously? How you communicate with loved ones, how you see yourself, have you started become interested in something “weird” like astrology?

3) Where do you feel restricted?

4) Where do you lack drive?

If you have this honest conversation with yourself I think you will uncover some pretty remarkable things between now and April 27th. Start listening and watching during this time rather than thinking and reacting.

And finally- I leave you with an awesome cheat sheet written by Mystic to close out the Zap Zone. This woman is a genius and her site is off the charts- poke around. I have been a member for awhile now and the subscription is worth every penny.  Enjoy and conquer my friends. If you need any help determining where Saturn (Tip #3) is in your chart- post your birthday in the comments and I will reply. Without an exact birth time I cannot tell you which house Saturn falls in your chart but I can tell you the sign– and that’s great information.

Some of these i have said before, as part of previous Z.Z. rants. Apologies for any repetition but it’s good to have this all in one place.

(1)November to April is the Grand Finale of the Zap Zone a.k.a Uranus square Pluto. This is an astrological aspect that I most often describe as rare and epochal. You can search this site for dozens of posts and insightful comments re this most cathartic and transformative of astro-passages. It operates at both a personal and a global level. Arguably, although the first exact ZZ hit was in mid-2012, it began with Pluto into Capricorn/the collapse of the Lehmann brothers. The Global Financial Fuqery that is still ongoing is an inescapable theme of the Zap Zone, as is the dramatic evolutionary morph many individuals, businesses, countries and paradigms are having to make. Forced Growth is very much a theme of the Zap Zone but it’s easier if you don’t wait till it is upon you. Hence the Z.Z. motto – Stay Stuck and You Are Fuqed. Anyway it is SUPER intense Nov till April. There is not one day where Uranus and Pluto are not within orb of their square. There is not one day off from this.

(2)This sort of non-stop intensity is naturally linked to crap news days. You know, the sort of day when you look at the news and it’s just an endless procession of mismanagement, human rights abuses, injustice, corruption and generally sad schizz. Consider either doing a news fast (where you just don’t consume it but work on keeping your consciousness clear and all) OR becoming ridiculously well informed and empowering yourself via knowledge. But consuming just enough to freak you out on a daily basis, without any deeper perspective will most likely fuq with your Awesome.
(3)Doing your natal Saturn is a really brilliant way to ground yourself when times turn screw. Try it. This works. Here are some simplistic but hopefully ideas provoking suggestions: Saturn in Aries/1st House: Cross-Fit/Martial Arts/Boss Bitch. Saturn in Taurus/2nd House: Get in the money via a fierce financial reboot. Saturn in Gemini/Third House: Short courses, quick upgrades to your data-base, a daily writing discipline. Saturn in Kataka/Fourth House: Feng Shui, Housewitchery, shoring up home base. Saturn in Leo/5th House: Art and/or your children. Uber parenting. Massive, determined creativity and consumption of the arts. Saturn in Virgo/6th House: Nutrition/Analysis/perfecting daily work regime and attitude. Saturn in Libra/7th: forming strong alliances with others via suave diplomacy. Saturn in Scorpio/8th: Therapy, Self-knowing, high order intimacy only. Saturn in Sagittarius/the 9th House: A pilgrimage, devotion to study and self-dev. Saturn in Capricorn/the 10th House: Careerist and public leadership – being the boss. Saturn in Aquarius/11th House: Community involvement genius and/or invention. Saturn in Pisces/the 12th House: Spirituality, psychological development, identifying and eradicating any addictions or old demons.
(4)After April it’s a whole new era – to get an idea of HOW much – think of who and what was in your life pre-2012 that no longer resonates or rates. Don’t try to cling onto old-era attitudes or attachments. Try to see when you are operating out of an old paradigm. The more modern and relevant, free of ancient grudges or assumptions, you can be the more you thrive through this.
(5)NOT a good time to be bringing a B Vibe to relationships. You KNOW what your B Vibe looks like. If  you can’t individuate or you have huge fears around being alone, work on them. Amazing relationships can come into being over this phase but they’re tectonic – not something you can run on auto-set or even casually. Stay out of the scene and just channel lust/romantic desires into career if you don’t want the intensity.
(6)Economy and career-wise, previously accepted opinion and wisdom about what’s right or good to do in terms of investment, vocation and so forth could morph super-quickly. The opportunities for $, fresh paradigms of making ‘a living’ are totally going to be there but if you think you’re in an industry or profession that might be subject to rapid change, it is probably going to happen fast and in this time-frame. So be ready. As always, i think sites like Macrobusiness, Life Edited and Zero Hedge have a very ‘now’ sensibility. They’re Zap Zone compliant. Though i will grant that Zero Hedge is kind of bonkers lol.
(7)Between now and April, there seem to be two key likely most successful strategies – this is in general. Stay put, conserve cash and focus on stabilizing where-ever you are at. Build buffers of good health, $$$ saved – less or no debt and a clear head.  OR make the big move in drastic style, fully backing your Awesome and investing in YOUR SELF as the key and audacious life strategy. But no in-betweens.
(8)Because Uranus is on/off/on being helpfully activated by lucky Jupiter, there is a magic, innovative and genius tone to this next and finale blast of the Zap Zone. Inventive excellence, especially in the part of your chart where you have Aries and Leo is blessed. Those are where you can take risks and grow at will.

An excerpt from a powerful book

It’s no secret that The Four Agreements is a book that changed my life. Recently, I began listening to it every night before bed. And last night when the audio began, I felt drawn to share the opening story with you.

The piece is certainly something to meditate on.

The Smokey Mirror

Three thousand years ago, there was a human just like you and me who lived near a city surrounded by mountains. The human was studying to become a medicine man, to learn the knowledge of his ancestors, but he didn’t completely agree with everything he was learning. In his heart, he felt there must be something more.

One day as he slept in a cave, he dreamed that he saw his own body sleeping. He came out of the cave on the night of the new moon. The sky was clear, and he could see millions of stars. Then something happened inside of him that transformed his life forever. He looked at his hands, he felt his body, and he heard his own voice say, “I am made of light; I am made of stars.”

He looked at the stars again, and then he realized that it’s not the stars that create light, but rather light that creates the stars. “Everything is made of light,” he said, “and the space in-between isn’t empty.” And he knew that everything that exists is one living being, and that light is the messenger of life, because it is alive and contains all information.

Then he realized that although he was made of stars, he was not those stars. “I am in-between the stars,” he thought. So he called the stars the tonal, and the light between the stars the nagual, and he knew that what created the harmony and peace between the two is Life or Intent. Without Life, the tonal and the nagual could not exist. Life is the force of the absolute, the supreme, the Creator who creates everything.

This is what he discovered; Everything in existence is a manifestation of the one living being we call God. Everything is God. And he came to the conclusion that human perception is merely light perceiving light. He also saw that matter is a mirror – everything is a mirror that reflects light and creates images of that light – and the world of illusion, the Dream, is just like the smoke which doesn’t allow us to see what we really are. “The real us is pure love, pure light,” he said.

This realization changed his life. Once he knew what he really was, he looked around at other humans and the rest of nature, and he was amazed at what he saw. He saw himself in everything – in every human, in every animal, in every tree, in the water, in the rain, in the clouds, in the earth. And he saw that Life mixed the tonal and the nagual in different ways to create billions of manifestations of Life.

In those few moments he comprehended everything. He was very excited, and his heart filled with peace. He could hardly wait to tell his people what he had discovered. But there were no words to explain it. He tried to tell the others, but they could not understand. They could see that he had changed, that something beautiful was radiating from his eyes and his voice. They noticed that he no longer had judgement about anything or anyone. He was no longer like anyone else.

He could understand everyone very well, but no one could understand him. They believed that he was an incarnation of God, and he smiled when he heard this and he said, “It is true. I am God. But you are also God. We are the same, you and I. We are images of light. We are God.” But still the people didn’t understand him.

He had discovered that he was a mirror for the rest of the people, a mirror in which he could see himself. “Everyone is a mirror,” he said. He saw himself in everyone, but nobody saw him as themselves. And he realized that everyone was dreaming, but without awareness, without knowing what they really are. They couldn’t see him as themselves because there was a wall of fog or smoke between the mirrors. And that wall of fog was made by the interpretation of images of light – the Dream of humans.

Then he knew that he would soon forget all that he had learned. He wanted to remember all the visions he had had, so he decided to call himself the Smokey Mirror so that he would always know that matter is a mirror and the smoke in-between is what keeps us from knowing what we are. He said, “I am the Smokey Mirror, because I am looking at myself in all of you, but we don’t recognize each other because of the smoke in-between us. That smoke is the Dream, and the mirror is you, the dreamer.”

I challenge you to change.

I wrote about synchronicity last week, so it’s of no surprise to me that when planning today’s blog the same theme kept appearing– everywhere I looked.

So, today I offer you a challenge. For the next 21 days (how long researchers say it takes to break or create a habit) I ask you to dedicate 10 or more minutes to a meditation technique that speaks to you. If you don’t know where to begin start here

Please share your experiences in the comments and feel free to ask me questions anytime!

Here we go………

What we think we become buddha quote2

My best friend manifested winning the lottery. In front of my eyes. Well– I wasn’t there when she bought the winning ticket–but I know now I couldn’t have been. BUT I was with her the first two times she purchased mega millions tickets.  I was with her when we drove 12 hours to my mother’s house on NYE 2011 for a spiritual retreat. I was with her when we listened to the audio book “Radical Manifestation” by Colin Tipping, when we meditated on the beach, when we filled out our Radical Manifestation worksheets (check it out), when we went for Reiki treatments from a very talented healer, and when she told my mother that she “was going to win the mega millions”. One morning in March she called me to tell me she won. Even I didn’t believe her. But then I saw the check.

That was the day my FAITH became TRUST.

In my blog Summer Reading List I  recommended you read War of Art. I took my own advice- during Mercury retrograde (great time for inner wisdom– this time is quickly approaching again). I must say- I gave myself great advice. The book helped me remember why I came up with idea to have this web blog on our NYE retreat a few years ago. Why I feel a drive to share my awe of the universe and have others share their unbelievable experiences.  Why I wanted to create a website where we can all be inspired by each others miracles.  And it reminded me to stop being resistant- that I should share my most recent pivotal manifestation. My hope is that this story that will inspire you. It’s long but I have to say– it’s pretty cool.

When I felt I had all the proof I needed to start living a connected life I had to start using the “tools” I had learned on my path. I started small– because change is hard. So I made a vow to get better everyday and try hard not to be too mean to myself when I am not perfect. I remind myself I’m supposed to make mistakes- but then I correct them and learn from them- and then move on. And I remind myself that even when something doesn’t workout, something else will present itself. AND I am constantly looking for clues on which move to make next. These clues show up more frequently when you are paying attention! Intuition is a gift we all have- you just need to trust your insights. And that is really hard!

I know that in order to create the life I want to live I need to be clear on what I want. So I made a decision. I was going to go to yoga school. My first teacher training didn’t work out. The “gurus” cancelled it a month before we were supposed to begin. Instead of being heart broken I joined a health club with an unmatchable yoga program. There I met a yoga master named Aimee. She is someone who is very special and I was immediately drawn to her. After getting to know her I found out we had the same car- same year, make, model, and color. Then I learned Aimee was hosting a teacher training and I wanted in!

I told everyone about my plan, worked my vision board, practiced patience and persistence, and when I finally acted (asked my dad to borrow the money) that same weekend, out of nowhere, a check for the exact amount of teacher training  (plus $70.00– the cost of a new Lululemon yoga mat) showed up in my mailbox from my auto lender. They said they reviewed my auto loan and I paid too much interest?  $2,570.00? So– that’s weird……

A few months later when I walked into my first teacher training….there she was….. Megan. A woman who I have adored for many years. I met Meg when I began my career. We were  both 26 years old (she’s a month older-ha!) but she was refined and sophisticated in a way I had never seen before. It’s hard to give you a short bio (the superlatives could go for days) so let’s just agree that she’s remarkable. She taught me how to be great at my job. She inspired me to be better every day. So, here we were–6 years later studying our passion for yoga together. We used to joke with her about how our office needed a Zen space.  Now I realize it was far from a joke.

Meg and I both felt unfulfilled in our current life circumstances and we needed the mat. We needed a place where the stress from work didn’t matter. Yoga was the release.

During our six month teacher training Meg found the courage to leave her job. A brilliant move for the opportunity to live her dream.

I on the other hand, was feeling overwhelmed from the stress of my job and was tasked with launching an Airport Television Network. It’s a big job. So I asked Meg to come work with me. To help me with the project. She considered it for awhile, and I got excited! I believed SHE was going to fix my problem, that SHE would reignite my passion, that SHE was going to make work so fun and easy. I told myself she was pretty much going to fix my life.

But she chose a new path, unexplored territory, and took a fiery risk.

And I couldn’t be happier for her.

And she gave me a greater gift than she will ever know. When I let go of the attachment to Meg “fixing my life” and took the time to reflect I began to see that SHE couldn’t come back– as long as the solution for my life was outside of me I would always “manifest” a new excuse to be unhappy. And then I would probably make her unhappy and that would break my heart.

So I let go of the attachment and went to work the next day. Can you guess what happened?  Two new solutions (talented folks) presented themselves to help with the network. THE NEXT DAY. And Meg taught me a giant lesson.

The past, negative self belief, stress, and idea that someone else can fix your life are all blocks the future. When you chose a path, and work the path, believe in YOU and live the life you’re meant to things just begin to fall together. I have proof. Meg reminded me that in order to grow I had to take a risk. I couldn’t be scared– she reminded me that if you really want something you have to DO something about it. So essentially she actually was instrumental in “fixing my life”…… right?

If you haven’t read “Get connected- A warm up” please do. Maybe re-read everyday for a month. Get connected and let life’s synchronicity work in your favor.

Get connected- A warm up

I spent yesterday “reconnecting”. I listened to a few of my favorite audio books and revisited “The Power of Intention”  which I recommended on the Summer Reading List. Last week I mentioned I was having a hard time completing a blog on synchronicity that I will be publishing Wednesday. I WAS having trouble with it because I told myself some parts of my story are “too weird” and maybe the audience wouldn’t know how to handle it? But then I decided- OH WELL! My life is weird, and gets weirder everyday. And it is a blessing. So I am going to try to warm you up!

I am going to share with you an excerpt from the book “The Power of Intention” that has become the mission statement of my life. I read or listen to it whenever I feel disconnected. Or when I feel like I need a reminder of the person I am becoming and who I want to be. So please, give yourself the time to read this passage.–it’s not short– but every word counts. Think about it, connect to it, and maybe read it again!

Chapter Fifteen:
A Portrait of a Person Connected to the Field of Intention

“Self-actualizing people must be what they can be.”
– Abraham Maslow

A person who lives in a state of unity with the Source of all life doesn’t look any different from ordinary folks. These people don’t wear a halo or dress in special garments that announce their godlike qualities. But when you notice that they go through life as the lucky ones who seem to get all the breaks, and when you begin to talk to them, you realize how distinctive they are compared to people living at ordinary levels of awareness. Spend a few moments in conversation with these people who are connected to the power of intention and you see how unique they are.

These people, whom I call connectors to signify their harmonious connection with the field of intention, are individuals who have made themselves available for success. It’s impossible to get them to be pessimistic about achieving what they desire in their lives. Rather than using language that indicates that their desires may not materialize, they speak from an inner conviction that communicates their profound and simple knowing that the universal Source supplies everything.

They don’t say, “With my luck things won’t work out.” Instead, you’re much more likely to hear something like, “I intend to create this and I know it will work out.” No matter how you might attempt to dissuade them by pointing out all the reasons why their optimism ought to be curtailed, they seem blissfully blind to reality-check repercussions. It’s almost as if they’re in a different world, a world in which they can’t hear the reasons why things won’t work out.

If you engage them in conversation about this idea, they simply say something like, “I refuse to think about what can’t happen, because I’ll attract exactly what I think about, so I only think about what I know will happen.” It doesn’t matter to them what’s happened before. They don’t relate to the concepts of failure or it’s impossible. They simply, without fanfare, are unaffected by reasons for being pessimistic. They’ve made themselves available for success, and they know and trust in an invisible force that’s all-providing. They’re so well connected to the all-providing Source that it’s as if they have a natural aura preventing anything from getting through that might weaken their connection to the creative energy of the power of intention.

Connectors don’t place their thoughts on what they don’t want, because, as they’ll tell you, “The Source of all can only respond with what it is, and what it is, is infinite supply. It can’t relate to scarcity, or things not working out, because it’s none of these things. If I say to the Source of all things, ‘It probably won’t work out,’ I’ll receive back from it precisely what I sent to it, so I know better than to think anything other than what my Source is.

To the average person who has fears about the future, this all sounds like mumbo jumbo. They’ll tell their connector friend to do a reality check and look realistically at the world they live in. But connectors aren’t distracted from their inner knowing. They’ll tell you, if you choose to listen, that this is a universe of energy and attraction, and that the reason so many people live lives of fear and scarcity is because they rely on their ego to fulfill their desires. “It’s simple,” they’ll tell you. “Just reconnect to your Source, and be like your Source, and your intentions will match up perfectly with the all-providing Source.”

To connectors, it all seems so simple. Keep your thoughts on what you intend to create. Stay consistently matched up with the field of intention, and then watch for the clues that what you’re summoning from the all-creative Source is arriving in your life. To a connector, there are simply no accidents. They perceive seemingly insignificant events as being orchestrated in perfect harmony. They believe in synchronicity and aren’t surprised when the perfect person for a situation appears, or when someone they’ve been thinking about calls out of the blue, or when a book arrives unexpectedly in the mail giving them the information they needed, or when the money to finance a project they’ve been intending mysteriously shows up.

Connectors won’t attempt to win you over to their point of view with debates. They know better than to place a lot of energy on arguing or being frustrated, because that attracts argumentation and frustration into their lives. They know what they know, and they aren’t seduced into constructing a counterforce of resistance to people who live otherwise. They accept the idea that there are no accidents in a universe that has an invisible force of energy as its Source that continuously creates and provides an infinite supply to all who wish to partake of it. They’ll tell you plain and simple if you inquire: “All you have to do to tap in to the power of intention is to be in a perfect match with the Source of everything, and I’m choosing to be as closely aligned to that Source as I can.”

To connectors, everything that shows up in their life is there because the power of intention intended it there. So they’re always in a state of gratitude. They feel thankful for everything, even things that might seem to be obstacles. They have the ability and desire to see a temporary illness as a blessing, and they know in their heart that somewhere an opportunity exists in the setback, and that is what they look for in everything that shows up in their life. Through their thanks, they honor all possibilities, rather than asking their Source for something, because that seems to give power to what’s missing. They commune with the Source in a state of reverent gratitude for all that’s present in their lives, knowing that this empowers their intention to manifest precisely what they need.

Connectors describe themselves as living in a state of appreciation and bewilderment. You’re unlikely to hear them complain about anything. They aren’t fault-finders. If it rains, they enjoy it, knowing that they won’t get where they want to go if they only travel on sunny days. This is how they react to all of nature, with appreciative harmony. The snow, the wind, the sun, and the sounds of nature are all reminders to connectors that they’re a part of the natural world. The air – regardless of its temperature or wind velocity – is the revered air that is the breath of life.

Connectors appreciate the world and everything in it. The same connection that they experience with nature they feel toward all beings, including those who lived before and those who have yet to arrive. They have a consciousness of the oneness, and therefore they make no distinctions such as them or those other people. To a connector, it is all WE. If you could observe their inner world, you’d discover that they’re hurt by pain inflicted on others. They don’t have the concept of enemies, since they know that all of us emanate from the same divine Source. They enjoy the differences in the appearance and customs of others rather than disliking, criticizing, or feeling threatened by them. Their connection to others is of a spiritual nature, but they don’t separate themselves spiritually from anyone regardless of where they might live or how different their appearances or customs may be from their own. In their heart, connectors feel an affinity to all of life, as well as to the Source of all of life.

It’s because of this connecting link that connectors are so adept at attracting into their lives the cooperation and assistance of others in fulfilling their own intentions. The very fact of feeling connected means that in the connectors’ minds, there’s no one on this planet who they’re not joined up with in a spiritual sense. Consequently, living in the field of intention, the entire system of life in the universe is available to access anything their attention is on, because they’re already connected to this life-giving energy system and all of its creations. They appreciate this spiritual connection, and expend no energy on depreciating or criticizing it. They never feel separated from the assistance that this entire life-giving system offers.

Therefore, connectors aren’t surprised when synchronicity or coincidence brings them the fruits of their intentions. They know in their hearts that those seemingly miraculous happenings were brought into their immediate life space because they were already connected to them. Ask connectors about it and they’ll tell you, “Of course, it’s the law of attraction at work. Stay tuned vibrationally to the Source of all life that intended you, and everyone else here and all of the powers of that field of intention will cooperate with you to bring into your life what you desire.” They know that this is how the universe works. Others may insist that connectors are just plain lucky, but the people who enjoy the power of intention know otherwise. They know that they can negotiate the presence of anything they place their attention on as long as they stay consistent with the seven faces of intention.

Connectors don’t brag about their good fortune, but are in a perpetual state of gratitude and radical humility. They understand how the universe works, and they stay blissfully in tune with it, rather than challenging or finding fault with it. Ask them about this and they’ll tell you that we’re part of a dynamic energy system. “Energy that moves faster,” they explain, “dissolves and nullifies slower-moving energy.” These people choose to be in harmony with the invisible spiritual energy. They’ve trained their thoughts to move at the levels of the higher vibrations, and consequently they’re able to deflect lower/slower vibrations.

Connectors have an uplifting effect when they come into contact with people who are living in lower energy levels. Their peacefulness causes others to feel calm and assured, and they radiate an energy of serenity and peace. They’re not interested in winning arguments or accumulating allies. Rather than trying to persuade you to think like they do, they’re convincing through the energy they exude. People feel loved by connectors, because they’re merged with the Source of all life, which is love.

Connectors tell you without hesitation that they choose to feel good regardless of what’s going on around them or how others might judge them. They know that feeling bad is a choice, and that it isn’t useful for correcting unpleasant situations in the world. So they use their emotions as a guidance system to determine how attuned they are to the power of intention. If they feel bad in any way, they use this as an indicator that it’s time to change their energy level so that it matches up with the peaceful, loving energy of the Source. They’ll repeat to themselves, “I desire to feel good”, and they’ll bring their thoughts into harmony with this desire.

If the world is at war, they still opt to feel good. If the economy takes a nosedive, they still want to feel good. If crime rates go up or hurricanes rage somewhere on the planet, they still choose to feel good. If you ask them why they don’t feel bad when so many bad things are happening in the world, they’ll smile and remind you that “the world of spirit from which all is intended works in peace, love, harmony, kindness, and abundance, and that is where I choose to reside within myself. My feeling bad will only ensure that I attract more of feeling bad into my life.”

Connectors simply don’t allow their well-being to be contingent on anything external to themselves — not the weather, not the wars someplace on the globe, not the political landscape, not the economy, and certainly not anyone else’s decision to be low energy. They work with the field of intention, emulating what they know is the creative Source of all.

Connectors are always in touch with their infinite nature. Death is not something that they fear, and they’ll tell you, if you ask, that they were never truly born nor will they ever die. They see death as taking off a garment or moving from one room into another — merely a transition. They point to the invisible energy that intends everything into existence and see this as their true self. Because connectors always feel aligned to everyone and everything in the universe, they don’t experience the feeling of being separate from anyone else or from what they’d like to attract into their lives. Their connection is invisible and nonmaterial, but it’s never doubted. Consequently, they rely on this inner, invisible spiritual energy that permeates all things. They live in harmony with Spirit, never seeing themselves as separate. This awareness is key to their seeing the power of intention at work on a daily basis.

You simply can’t convince connectors that what they’re intending won’t materialize, because they trust in their connection to Source energy so strongly. They’ll invite you to choose which possibility you’re going to identify with, and then encourage you to live as if it had already occurred. If you can’t do it, and are stuck in worry, doubt, and fear, they’ll wish you well, but they’ll continue what they call “thinking from the end”. They can see what it is they intend to manifest into their lives as if it already had materialized, and for them, because it’s so real in their thoughts, it’s their reality. They’ll tell you forthrightly, “My thoughts, when harmonized with the field of intention, are God’s thoughts, and this is how I choose to think.” You’ll see if you follow them closely enough that they’re exceptional at realizing the fruits of their intentions.

Connector people are exceptionally generous. It’s as if what they want for themselves is dwarfed only by wanting it even more for other people. They take great pleasure in giving. Others may wonder how they ever accumulate anything for themselves, yet their lives are filled with abundance, and they seem to lack nothing that they desire. “The secret to the power of intention,” they’ll tell you, “is in thinking and acting the same as the all-providing Source from which all originates. It’s always providing, and I choose to be a provider, too. The more I give of myself and all that flows to me, the more I see flowing back to me.

Connectors are highly inspired people. They live more in spirit than in form. Consequently, they’re inspired and inspiring, as opposed to informed and filled with information. These are people who have a strong sense of their own destiny. They know why they’re here, and they know that they’re more than an encapsulated collection of bones, blood, and organs in a skin- and hair-covered body. They’re all about living this purpose and choosing to avoid being distracted by the demands of the ego. They have great reverence for the world of Spirit, and by communing with this Source, they stay inspired.

Their level of energy is exceptionally high. It’s an energy that defines them as connectors. It’s the energy of the Source, a fast vibrational frequency that brings love to the presence of hatred and converts that hatred to love. They bring a peaceful countenance to the presence of chaos and disharmony, and convert the lower energies to the higher energy of peace. When you’re around those who dwell in the field of intention, you’ll feel energized, cleansed, healthier, and inspired. They have a noticeable absence of judgment toward others, and they aren’t immobilized by the thoughts or actions of others. They often get labeled as aloof and distant because they don’t gravitate toward small talk and gossip. They’ll tell you that it is the Spirit that gives life, and that everyone on this planet has this Spirit within them as an all-powerful force for good. They believe it, they live it, and they inspire others.

They’ll even go so far as to tell you that imbalances in the earth such as earthquakes, volcanic eruptions, and extreme weather patterns are the result of a collective imbalance in human consciousness. They’ll remind you that our bodies are made up of the same materials as the earth, that the fluid that comprises 98 percent of our blood was once ocean water, and that the minerals in our bones were components of the finite supply of minerals in the earth. They view themselves as one with the planet, and feel a responsibility to stay in balanced harmony with the field of intention to help to stabilize and harmonize the forces of the universe that can get out of balance when we live from excessive ego. They’ll tell you that all thoughts, feelings, and emotions are vibrations, and that the frequency of these vibrations can create disturbances – not only in ourselves, but in everything that’s made of the same materials.

Connectors will encourage you to stay in vibrational harmony with Source out of a sense of responsibility to the entire planet, and they regard this as a vital function to emulate. This isn’t something they think about and discuss from a purely intellectual perspective; it’s what they feel deeply within themselves and live passionately every day.

As you observe these connectors, you’ll note that they don’t dwell on illness and disease. They move through their life as if their body is in perfect health. They actually think and feel that any current disease pattern has never been present, and they believe that they’re already healed. They believe that they attract the new outcome, because they know that there are many possible outcomes for any given condition, even for a condition that may seem to others to be impossible to overcome. They’ll tell you that the possibilities for healing outcomes are here and now, and the course that an illness will take is a matter of their own perspective. Just as they believe that external turbulent systems become peaceful in the presence of our peace, they see this as a possibility for internal turbulence. Ask them about their healing capabilities and they’ll say, “I’m already healed, and I think and feel from only this perspective.”

You’ll often see your illnesses and physical complaints disappear when you’re in the presence of exceptionally high-energy connectors. Why? Because their high spiritual energy nullifies and eradicates the lower energies of illness. Just as being in the presence of connectors makes you feel better because they exude and radiate joyful appreciative energy, so too will your body heal by being in this kind of energy field.

Connectors are aware of the need to avoid low energy. They’ll quietly retreat from loud, bellicose, opinionated people, sending them a silent blessing and unobtrusively moving along. They don’t spend time watching violent TV shows or reading accounts of atrocities and war statistics. They might appear docile or uninteresting to people who wallow in the horrors being discussed and broadcast. Since connectors have no need to win, to be right, or to dominate others, their power is the fact that they uplift others with their presence. They communicate their views by being in harmony with the creative energy of the Source. They’re never offended, because their ego isn’t involved in their opinions.

Connectors live their lives matched up vibrationally to the field of intention. To them, everything is energy. They know that being hostile, hateful, or even angry toward people who believe in and support low-energy activities, which involve violence in any form, will only contribute to that kind of debilitating activity in the world.

The connectors live through higher/faster energy that allows them to access their intuitive powers readily. They have an inner knowing about what’s coming. If you ask them about it, they’ll tell you, “I can’t explain it, but I just know it because I feel it inside.”Consequently, they’re seldom confounded when the events they anticipate and intend to create …. manifest. Rather than being surprised, they actually expect things to work out. By staying so connected to Source energy, they’re able to activate their intuition and have insight into what is possible and how to go about achieving it. Their inner knowing allows them to be infinitely patient, and they’re never dissatisfied with the speed or the manner in which their intentions are manifesting.

Connectors frequently mirror the seven faces of intention written about throughout the pages of this book. You’ll see people who are extraordinarily creative, who have no need to fit in or to do things the way others expect them to. They apply their unique individuality to tasks, and they’ll tell you that they can create anything that they place their attention and imagination on.

Connectors are exceptionally kind and loving people. They know that harmonizing with Source energy is replicating the kindness from which they originated. Yet it’s not an effort for connectors to be kind. They’re always grateful for what comes to them, and they know that kindness toward all of life and our planet is how to display gratitude. By being kind, others want to return the favor and become allies in helping them to achieve their intentions. They associate with an unlimited number of people, all of whom are full of love, kindness, and generosity — assisting each other in fulfilling their desires.

You’ll also notice how connectors see the beauty in our world. They always find something to appreciate. They can get lost in the beauty of a starry night or a frog on a lily pad. They see beauty in children, and they find a natural radiance and splendor in the aged. They have no desire to judge anyone in low-energy negative terms, and they know that the all-creating Source brings only beauty into material form and so it is always available.

Connectors never know enough! They’re inquisitive about life, and they’re attracted to every manner of activity. They find something to enjoy in all fields of human and creative endeavors, and are always expanding their own horizons. This openness to everything and all possibilities and this quality of always expanding, characterizes their proficiency at manifesting their desires. They never say no to the universe. Whatever life sends them, they say, “Thank you. What can I learn, and how can I grow from what I’m receiving?” They refuse to judge anyone or anything that the Source offers them, and this always-expanding attitude is what ultimately matches them up with Source energy and opens up their life to receiving all that the Source is willing to provide. They’re an open door that’s never closed to possibilities. This makes them totally receptive to the abundance that’s always ceaselessly flowing.

These attitudes that you see in connector people are precisely the reason that these folks seem so lucky in life. When you’re around them, you feel energized, purposeful, inspired, and unified. You’re seeing people whom you want to hang around with because they energize you, and this brings you a feeling of empowerment. When you feel empowered and energized, you step into the flow of abundant Source energy yourself, and you inadvertently invite others to do the same. The connection isn’t just to Source energy, it’s to everyone else and everything in the universe. Connectors are aligned with the entire cosmos and every particle within the cosmos. This connection makes the infinite power of intention possible and available.

These highly realized people think from the end, experiencing what they wish to intend before it shows up in material form. They use their feelings as a gauge to determine if they’re synchronized with the power of intention. If they feel good, they know that they’re in vibrational harmony with Source. If they feel bad, they use this indicator to adjust to higher energy levels. And finally, they act on these thoughts of intention and good feelings as if all that they desired were already here. If you ask them what you can do to make your desires come true, they’ll unhesitatingly advise you to “change the way you look at things, and the things you look at will change.”

I urge you to replicate their inner world, and rejoice in the infinitely magnificent power of intention.

It works – I guarantee it!

Wacky Wellness Hacks

Hi friends!

Before I begin I believe I should do a little explaining. I took last week off from writing the blog, and in the future I will not be posting during the time when Mercury goes retrograde. If you don’t know what this means yet here is a link to Almanac.com that will give you a very brief overview. If you want to understand it further and reflect on the past three weeks this is a great article that explains it in more detail click here . My Gemini and Virgo friends will find these times most interesting (frustrating) and I strongly recommend they follow the links.

Now that you’re aware of what’s happening in the cosmos I would like to share what I did in an effort to better myself and stay “in control”. In the Advertising industry Mercury retrogrades are  tangible and make me a little edgy! The good news is I know how to plan for these periods, and I get  better at managing the stress this phenomenon causes me each time.

I moved from the suburbs to the city on May 1st. Moving is tough. It changes everything. Where I shop, how I walk my dog, how I cook, how I do laundry– I could go on for hours but I think you get the point. I am a person who likes to feel stable. Really stable, while my move was the best decision I could have made the adjustment has taken a lot longer than I would like it to. That said– I saw all this newness as an opportunity to start some things I have wanted to do but had been putting off. These additions to my life are very small, very easy, and cheap. I recommend you try all of them and use them in whatever capacity works for you.

****Warning**** The following photo is NASTY!!!!!

1.) I started oil pulling

So– I am sure many of you have heard of oil pulling and I spoke about it in a previous post. I had been hearing about this technique for awhile and it’s a trend that appears to be catching on. To learn more about pulling click here. I have a very scientific mind, and I need to see proof for myself before I commit to something. So I did an experiment. On accident–kind of. I assumed I would be just be able to tell if pulling was providing the benefits everyone claimed it would. Very quickly I did notice my teeth were getting whiter. I always heard “never spit the oil down a drain– it will cause clogs” so, I keep a “receptacle” in my bathroom (make sure it is airtight!!!!). I keep it in a fancy vase on my makeup table so it’s not an eyesore. During the first week (maybe day 5?) I went to open the container and almost tossed my cookies. The smell was SO gross. Thinking about it gives me chills. Luckily it has not been as nasty since but I would like to SHOW you what is going on

photo 1 (1)

The container on the left is pure oil. Clean. The container on the right is the oil I spit out. It’s so gross– but proof that I am removing a lot of nasty stuff from my mouth. I suggest everyone tries this. I now pull oil every time I brush my teeth. I find 10 minutes of chores to complete to keep me distracted. In the morning I pull while I shower and put on my makeup. I love the results, but a friend and I joked recently that my teeth may be too white now. I consider this a fun problem!

2) Detox energy drink

Another trendy wellness staple is Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV). I have always been a fan of detoxing but I have found a drink that acts as a daily detox and I love it. Here is a link some of the benefits of ACV. Now for the recipe.

photo 2 (1)

Ginger Spice ACV detox energy drink

1 tbs ACV

1 tsp Ginger (I use ginger juice from VItacost–it’s just easier for me)

I packet of Stevia.

16 oz of water

I started with one drink a day (since I am not a doctor I will not tell you how to consume it- just do what works for you). It seems like it would be a really gentle cleansing technique but it’s very powerful! So here are a few tips (or warnings): prepare to sweat a lot more if you drink this before a workout– ginger is a heating herb and sweat pours off my body during a hot yoga class. Also- a friend recently told me she needed to back off to one drink every other day because she felt “too clean” and wanted to slow it down. I now drink three a day. We are all different. Listen to your body and do what feels good.

3) I make my bed before I leave my home.

I heard a saying once, “messy bed, messy head”. I am not sure where it came from, but for me it could not be more accurate. So now, before I leave my home in the morning, I put everything back in order. Unless I am a frazzled, rushed mess that day– which basically proves my point. I discipline myself to keep my home in order so while I am there it is as comfortable as it can be. Picking up around the house also keeps me busy while I oil pull!

4) I give myself at least 20 minutes of fresh air a day.

I laughed as I typed that. My commitment to being outside more has been very easy for me. Maybe too easy. I have been spending most of my free time outside. Maybe 20 minutes will be a challenge in the winter but I am averaging 2-3 hours per day. Since I moved downtown I limit my driving. I ride my bike. Everywhere. Including the grocery store. I have not been going to the gym as much either. Instead I practice yoga on my patio, or in a friends backyard by her pool. Reconnecting with nature does something magical to my spirit. You can do anything outside! So get out there and get intoxicated on some fresh air!

This one is not new for me but it needs to be included.

5) I ask the universe for help.

On July 15th there will be a full moon and the shadow period of Mercury Retrograde will end. We have all been through a lot since April and this full moon is exciting if you’ve been dying to make changes but feel like everything was stuck and moving too slow. It is a time of clarity and ah-ha! moments. I want to share a little “trick” with you. I don’t know why it works– but it does– so take a risk and try it. What do you have to lose (except outdated baggage)?

Write down something you are ready to let go of. Something you have been saying you don’t want for yourself any longer but just haven’t been able to execute. This should be really clear to you after the crazy few months we have just experienced. It can be one sentence or 13 pages. Bring your paper(s) and a lighter outside where you can see the moon. Read out loud what you are releasing and then set the paper on fire! Watch it burn and imagine the energy that keeps “that or those”  situation(s) reoccurring in your life “going up in flames and turning to dust”. I know this is a lot to take in. And totally weird. But that’s who I am and what works for me, so I am sharing something new with you. Try it!

Next week I will publish and blog about synchronicity. I have been writing it for 2 weeks now but I have been so overwhelmed by what is coming out that I need to take it slow. I am really excited to share it with you.

Summer Reading List

Hi friends!

It’s finally summer and I am ready to GROW! Want to join me? Taking the time to expand your mind is the one of nicest thing you can do for yourself!

I used to love spending time on the beach reading murder mystery novels. It felt like an escape. But as I get older I have found myself attracted to self development books (imagine that)  and when I take the time to read outside it makes me feel really good. So, this week I choose to share a list of my favorite books– the ones that created countless “Ah Ha” moments for me. I see them as little gems that changed the way I saw my life– forever. This list is short– but powerful!

I would love for you to add to the list so please share with me (us) books that changed your lives!

1) The Four Agreements– don Miguel Ruiz (my most favorite book- I have read it at least 25 times). It’s short, and EVERY word counts.

2) The War of Art– Steven Pressfield. This is a great book about what keeps us from doing what we most want to do—and shows us how to finally get started on the goals we’ve been avoiding .

“Our job in this life is not to shape ourselves into some ideal we imagine we ought to be, but to find out who we already are and become it.”
― Steven Pressfield

3) Turning Pro– Steven Pressfield. The follow up to The War of Art, Turning Pro “navigates the passage from the amateur life to a professional practice”.

“Turning pro is a mindset. If we are struggling with fear, self-sabotage, procrastination, self-doubt, etc., the problem is, we’re thinking like amateurs. Amateurs don’t show up. Amateurs crap out. Amateurs let adversity defeat them. The pro thinks differently. He shows up, he does his work, he keeps on truckin’, no matter what.”

 ― Steven Pressfield

4) The Power of Intention– Wayne Dyer. This book is long, expansive, and requires a real willingness to shift your perspective.  My buddy Wayne (I refer to him as a friend because I feel like I have really gotten to know him) is wildly deep but completely logical. I think he would be hard to debate with– his mind is magical.

“All blame is a waste of time. No matter how much fault you find with
another, and regardless of how much you blame him, it will not change
you. The only thing blame does is to keep the focus off you when you
are looking for external reasons to explain your unhappiness or
frustration. You may succeed in making another feel guilty about
something by blaming him, but you won’t succeed in changing whatever it
is about you that is making you unhappy. ”
― Wayne W. Dyer

I believe these four books have the potential to change your life. your business, and the way you see yourself. They changed the way I see things  and they are gifts I want to share with you.

Enjoy your day, and keep going and keep growing!

The Purge

I wrote about being grumpy last week, too wrapped up in my head to get a blog out. But what’s funny is how enlightening the experience ended up being. I am emotionally detoxing. I am putting a ton of new and healthy experiences into my life- and all the old out dated beliefs I lived by are leaving me. The energetic purging I just experienced knocked me off my feet. What “shit” are you working through right now? I have to swear- it’s what it is– horrible waste that keeps us down.

Have you ever done a detox? I started a few gentle methods the past couple of weeks, all much different than any I have done before. I’m oil pulling twice a day (coconut oil), drinking a ginger spice apple cider vinegar beverage (it’s off the charts by the way) and eating mostly vegan (I refuse to give up cheese). My body is responding in odd ways: differently than it has with other methods in the past. I will spare you the details but “old dirt” is leaving my body- it’s gross. This time I’m shedding a different kind of layer, a really deep one, and it hurts. Bad. Really bad. This has turned into an ego detox.

One of my favorite sayings in energy work is “you can’t heal what you won’t feel”. Facing your true intentions is hard. In my favorite book, The Four Agreements, Miguel Ruiz begins by explaining how the moment we are born the world tells us who we are and what’s appropriate to think. To quote (kind of) the author “we don’t even get to choose our own name”. That really resonates with me.

So, what have I learned from my bad mood last week? You must be willing to tear down the old walls, structures, or (in my case) fortresses to get where you really should be going. And when you finish with one- another lesson will show up. But I’ve decided life isn’t supposed to be easy- -what’s the quote? “When you stop learning, you die”? And I feel good more often than I don’t. Staying stuck in old patterns hurts a lot more than the emotional outburst of letting go of it. And I choose to keep going.

The only person who stops me, is me. The patterns of my life are my personal patterns. I choose to remember “the definition of wisdom is pattern recognition”.

Meditate on that this week.
